I gotta say this. I love him. I think he was hugely important. Those songs are a brotherly love. They made them. This interview focusing on Brian, but it Brian trying to make Carl happy because they made them together. Shit, who sings god only knows? Carl. Its him that makes you cry.
Ice cube I like when u lick ur lips
The music industry/ deals are crazzzy.... I've heard of artists who get less then 5% of total profit, they don't own anything that they lit made, and are stuck in deals like that for YEARS, same with touring the record labels would do deals where they would lit get almost all of the money,
Damn i didn't realize how real Fred and them were.. him saying that about the music industry most ppl esp in it, would never have the balls to say that, alot of ppl don't realize how grimey and bad it really is, there are record labels/ deals that lit rape the musician and many are forced to sign bc they come from being broke and need the money and get taken advtage of BIG TIME
❤️
Quite honestly, the woman conducting the interview sounded like she was either nervous or unprepared. Credit goes to David Ruffin and Eddie Kendricks for their patience and how they reminisced about their time together with the Temptations. Temptations forever!
How he said he has 5 kids but in fact he is a dad to 8
They Just renamed the street he grew up on in Middletown Wilson ave by Mater Dei High school.
does anyone know Head's hairstyle called ?help me pls, i wanna tell barber but dunno name of that hairstyle
Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry All The Time Anytime I have been a fan of Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry since November 8, 1975. My soon to be husband, Rodney, introduced me to The Band that night. I have enjoyed their music since & we had the pleasure to see them 2-17-1976 at The Ambassador Theatre, then on 4-12-1979 at Mississippi Nights in St. Louis, Missouri. I had the pleasure of hearing them 9-19-2022 in Chicago, United Center for their◇◇◇◇◇50year celebration. The Ambience of their music is timeless, like a fine wine. Andy, Bryan, Paul & Phil. WOW! Look forward to hearing & seeing them soon. THANK YOU FOR SHARING❤❤❤❤❤
Gosh he’s attractive 🥰 seriously, he’s such a delightful, charming man 💕
wayne had me cracking up man. he's on some real deep shit
These Guys were So Original, Smooth,Classy, And Talented, No One will Ever Take Their Place,,We Miss you guys, And Cory Daye❤
Class act across the board- man I miss The Ox..
Malcolm really knew his stuff. ❤
Tom wasn't a hit maker! He got jealous of John. He wanted ro be lead singer. And John had no issue with it, but Tom left! He had a group called Ruby but they didn't go anywhere! So sad to see them divided!
Date cannot be right. "I'm planning on another tour." His first tour was 84. This must be late 84 or 85.
An amazing artist ...its interesting that his club was called the Matrix.
Martha Reeves interview very well
Jimmy Lee resembles actor Frank Whaley in PULP FICTION 😂😂 Samuel Jackson shouting at him: “Bret, say WHAT, one more time Bret!!”
Brutal interview - and it's not David/Eddie's fault. The prep was significantly lacking here, just like with the Marvin Gaye interview in the restaurant. Neither artist looked comfortable.
The interviewer was trying to ask messy questions.... Patti shut it down 6:28
Excellent interview with a living legend!!
When reading the lyrics of `Dear Mr.Fantasy' on paper It's incredible how totally sparse the lyrics of those two short verses appear given the enormous weight that the song carries to the listening ear. Jim held ingenious song writing skills and in a way , it drew a focus on how abstract songs of 1967 were among music groups and how LSD created a seemingly great divide therein. Rest In Peace Rock Hero Jim Capaldi ! `LIKED'
Everyone loved her so much, breaks my heart she's gone
Such much you could talk to him about and this is it? Guess it must be a fashion magazine but disappointing.
This is a very strange interview. The interviewer definitely seems like he wants to keep the conversation on a superficial, appearance based level. It's still interesting. Wendy O🤟 rules!!!
Ian always reminds me of Graham Chapman in interviews 😂
Anyone know which band declined to play at the Fillmore that irked Uncle Bobo?
26:55 To try writing a study is called an etude in classical music
I never once heard x drop any race shit. He was diffrent.
Love this guy! One of my inspirations and influences! JLT Forever <3
My song to you. You're Once...Twice...Three times My TEMPTATIONS...and I LOVE YOU🎶🎶🎶. You guys will forever be in my heart. THANK GOD for the REUNION and ROCK N ROLL HALL OF FAME INDUCTION. DAVID and EDDIE left us so soon. ❤❤🙏
Excellent interview in 2024
It wasn’t just the type of music they played. It comes down to the songs that John wrote. The Beatles or Dylan or whoever, it’s the songs.
Drop out of 6th grade and become a millionaire like Violent J
Even with the terrible audio his voice comes through.
I'm not scared of Limbizkit, I'm scared of people. WTF.
Life Coaching 2.0 here. What a wonderful lady she was!
Wonderful Lady. Just imagine our great Motown singers and groups appearing and performing with no real Grace and CLASS!
Bill Graham yelled at me and my friend after a Sting concert at the Oakland Arena. She was sitting on his Mercedes bumper
😂😂the beginning of the end!!!
Looking back at Allen Ginsburg, he was a troubled soul.
Thanks for posting this interview.
Mic from dumb chick can't hear a word of her questions. Thank God can infer from Bill's answers what was asked.
I`m proud I could experience those wonderful days and hear those lovely songs.
She was the real deal. I thank God for her because even in her last years she still carried that same level of high class and grace that many of today's young females deem unnecessary...Ms. Powell used to tell me "These young girls think being a lady is old-fashioned but young man, ladies never go out of style". She changed the way I looked at women. She changed my expecations of women. She even had the capacity to flirt (at her age!) and never make it seem creepy or Cougarish...she just did it to show me how a LADY flirts. She was just ALL lady. When I look back now I realize that a lot of my masculine confidence comes from the way Ms. Powell treated me. She knew how to make a boy feel like a man without it ever being a carnal thing. She saw a young directionless man with a little talent and she poured into me. I was in my early 20s when I met Ms. Powell in person. She was headed toward 90 and she had already served generations! That she chose to serve me and allowed me to serve her every chance I got will always mean the world to me. I really miss her. There isn't a time that I get up to sing at Baker's or Bert's and don't think of her being in her usual seat holding court (she was the Queen of Detroit Entertainment hands down) mentally taking notes to tell me ALL the things I did wrong, and two or three things I did right (and she was always right. If you worked what she told you, it WORKED)...LOL. There was a mother-wit about her that you just don't see in women nowadays.
My heart goes out to his grown children & grown grandchildren.
God bless Mr. Barbieri. Awesome tenor saxophonist. R.I.P.
Johnny is 40 years old in this interview.
